Sailors by nature are explorers who love to sail in different parts of the world, to experience new places. Our Sailing Adventure Sailing Cruises allow students to take our Academy sailing classes in some of the most popular sailing vacation destinations in the world. These courses offer a combination-training cruise with exciting land-based activities. Other Adventures involve group cruises in bareboat charters in these locations. Some inexpensive trips may involve cruising in domestic waters in the United States. Others may take adventurous sailors to Asia, Africa, Australia or Europe. Whether a training cruise or a bareboat group charter, an experienced, well-traveled director who is a qualified sailing instructor leads each trip.

ADVENTURE SAILING- THE LEARN-WHILE-YOU-PLAY VACATION

Here is how it works. Trips are organized through Monterey Sailing Adventures. Trips include American Sailing Association (ASA) certified instruction as well at the boats, hotels, most provisioning, land transfers and sponsored events. Air packages are offered as well with the option of allowing members of the cruise to make their own travel arrangements to use those free miles. We work with sister schools with sound local knowledge. Trips always allow plenty of time for both gaining your ASA certification and also reveling in the wonders of the locale.

Whether you go solo, with a travel mate or as a family, it's both an investment and a vacation. Our instruction programs open up a world of new possibilities. Once certified, you can opt out of expensive hotel rooms and charter a sailboat at the world's most sought-after destinations. Can you say Caribbean, Mediterranean, Belize, Hawaii, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa? The list goes on. You do the math. Your boat is your hotel and the galley offers the option of on board meals to complement any shore dining you may want to choose. If you want to change the scene, simply weigh anchor and off you go.
